This Privacy Policy explains what personal data the garant.consulting portal processes, how we use it, whom we disclose it to, and what rights you have. By using the portal, you accept the terms of this policy.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Garant Business Consultancy DMCC (Dubai, United Arab Emirates), publisher of the garant.consulting portal. For any privacy matter: info@garant.consulting.
2. What data we collect
- Subscription data. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store the email address you provide.
- Enquiries. If you contact us, we process the content of your message and your contact address in order to reply.
- Technical and analytics data. Like most websites, we automatically receive anonymised technical information (truncated/anonymised IP, device and browser type, region, pages viewed, referrer) via web-analytics tools, to understand how the portal is used.
We do not collect special categories of data and do not ask you for financial or payment information.
3. Cookies and analytics
The portal may use cookies and similar technologies: necessary ones for the site to function, and analytics ones to measure traffic and improve content. You can restrict or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; some features may then behave differently. For analytics we may use third-party services that process anonymised statistics on our behalf.
4. How and on what basis we use data
- sending the newsletter — based on your consent (subscription); you can unsubscribe at any time;
- responding to your enquiries — based on our legitimate interest in communicating with you;
- analysing and improving the portal's performance and content — based on legitimate interest;
- ensuring security and preventing abuse.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects for you.
5. Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose it only: (a) to service providers (web analytics, email delivery, hosting) that process data on our behalf and are required to protect it; (b) where required by applicable law or competent authorities.
6. International data transfers
Our service providers may be located outside the UAE. Where that is the case, we take reasonable measures to ensure an adequate level of protection for the transferred data.

We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes set out above (for example, subscription data until you unsubscribe) and apply reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect it. The portal is intended for an adult business audience and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect children's data. If such data reaches us by mistake, tell us and we will delete it.

Our content links to external resources (official sources, media). We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices — we recommend reviewing their policies on the respective sites.

13. UAE News mobile app
The “UAE News” app (iOS and Android; publisher — Garant Business Consultancy DMCC, Dubai) is a mobile front-end for the garant.consulting portal.
- The app requires no registration and collects no personal data (name, email, phone); nothing is sent to us or third parties. There are no third-party ad networks, analytics SDKs or trackers in the app.
- Stored locally on your device only: articles saved for offline reading, chosen font size, notification and location settings.
- Location is requested only with your consent and can be disabled in settings. It is used on-device only to detect your emirate and prioritise local news. Coordinates are never sent to our servers or stored.
- Notifications are local reminders about new material, generated on-device, with no external push servers.
- Viewing content in the app means loading garant.consulting pages; the same terms as a browser visit apply. External links open in your device browser.
